First, if you’re not familiar with Mailchimp, it’s an email marketing service rivaling the bigs like aWeber, Constant Contact, and iContact.
I’ve used all of them. And, yes, there are ups and downs to all of them, including Mailcihmp, but this is why I fell in love with Mailchimp and recommend it to everyone.
This may sound silly, but I’ll be honest… it’s fun. When you live in technology land like I do, it can be pretty dryyyyy and boringggggg. Working in Mailchimp is a treat. Not only is the little chimp cute, but when you’re logged in, funny little messages will pop up to make things jut a little bit lighter. What’s wrong with having a little fun while your working?
Ok, so this might sound like a more valid reason to you… it’s FREE if you have 1,000 subscribers or less. It was 500 and they just doubled it. So, pretty dang awesome if you’re just starting out and watching your pennies. You might start for the free-ness, but you’ll get hooked like I did.
Not only that, it’s reliable and in my book- easy to use. Oh, and there’s a feature that I haven’t seen anywhere else. When you create a newsletter template, you enter in your url and it will detect your site’s branding and colors, and import it in. So you don’t have to fuss around with finding the right colors, etc.. it pops it in there for you.
They’ve added all kinds of Social Media bells and whistles. It integrates with tons of programs you’re probably already using. And, an A-list of companies are using it too.
You should check it out.
