How to keep one blog post at the top of your blog

When you have a blog, your posts are presented by date, with most recent posts appearing first or at the top.

But, sometimes you may want a certain to post to always appear at the top. It may be a welcome, something that is time-sensitive, etc.

For instant, I want my post” What’s new for 2012?, to stay at the top in January and not get buried when I post more blogs.

In WordPress, it’s really easy. All you need to do is make that post “sticky”.

When you are creating your post, in the Publish section- there is a sub-section titled “Visiblity”. All you need to do is check the box “Stick this post to the front page”. As long as that box is checked, that post will always be the top post.

If you’ve already created the post, you can quickly make it sticky in the Quick Edit bar as well.
